THE BOXTY BAND.
Three Lads, AND One Loud Adventure.
On keys we have Pauric Gallagher, the laid-back cheeky one on the piano and organ. Pauric is all about creating the perfect atmospheric backdrop, blending smooth, colourful melodies that elevate the rhythm section. But don’t let his calm demeanor fool you—when it’s time to let loose, he’s the first to rip into a boogie-woogie that gets everyone on their feet.
Meet Ciaran O’Reilly, the bass guitarist whose strings are allegedly held in place by equal parts groove and pure mischief. Ciaran claims he plays bass because four strings are easier to keep track of than six—but don’t be fooled. He’s the stealth engine of the band, quietly plotting riffs that sneak up on you like a cat in socks.
Then there’s Jimmy Palagrossi on drums—the heart, soul, and decibel powerhouse of the group. Jimmy doesn’t just keep time; he occasionally bends it, breaks it, and reassembles it using nothing but Drumsticks, All-Star converse and pure enthusiasm. Legend has it he’s never met a surface he didn’t immediately consider hitting rhythmically.
Together, these three are the anchor, engine and the steam who roam the world with Johnny armed with instruments, jokes, and an unshakable belief that every adventure is improved by a good beat, a weird snack from a foreign petrol station, and at least 3 questionable travel decisions about Peace, Love and Rock'n Roll…. "Oh" and Surf.
